For the third year in a row, Ben and Jerry’s has claimed to use its activism to effect change. In both Canada and the United States, they posted on Twitter that the lands we are on are stolen and should be returned to the Indigenous populations. While the notion has merit, the timing and the simplicity of the message is all wrong. Where is Ben and Jerry’s to lead by example? No where! Just posting on Twitter to stir the pot is far from activism. Once again, they thought they were doing the right thing; however, as expected, many reacted as they did with Bud Light.
