On November 14, close to 300,000 people rallied peacefully in DC to demand the release of the hostages and to pursue peace in the region. By contrast, pro-Palestinian protests continue to use violence, death threats and defacing property as a means to get their message across. The DC rally did not have burning flags or shouts of hate and destruction. Speakers at that rally, who came from all walks of life, thanked the US for their freedoms and the ability to live peacefully. The other protest shouted hate messages at the government and Americans. So…why do politicians, the media and others gravitate to the hate?
