“If you need proof that Western media has completely lost the plot, look no further than this: the CBC is now telling its journalists not to call 9/11 a terrorist attack.” A leaked memo from CBC’s senior director of journalistic standards instructed staff to describe 9/11 as “hijackings leading to passenger jet crashes” instead of terrorism—despite the transcript noting that “19 Al Qaeda hijackers… killed nearly three thousand people.” This isn’t semantics but a dangerous rewriting of history that waters down the meaning of terrorism, erases victims, and indoctrinates a generation that already “barely understands what went on with the Soviet Union… Hitler… or Iran.” This is not new, this is CBC’s broader pattern of bias, from refusing to interview Conservatives to their ignoring of Hamas' atrocities to ignoring the Iranian regimes massacres, sanitizing extremist violence, warning that this kind of media manipulation is how societies lose their moral compass. “Nine eleven was a terrorist attack. We should never forget what it was.”
