New Zealand’s highest court ruled that not lowering the voting age to 16 is discriminatory and should be changed. This brings up many questions about giving 16 and 17 years olds that much responsibility. We do not let them drink and join the military, but deciding an election is acceptable? Should this age group be welcome in actively deciding who should lead our population?
