“If you think Canada can ‘cut off’ the United States and survive, Mark Carney isn’t selling strategy, he’s selling a fantasy.” We tear into Carney’s declaration that “Canada doesn’t need the United States anymore,” contrasting it with the hard math: 75–77% of Canadian exports go to the U.S., and two‑thirds of Canada’s entire trade flows through the American market. Carney’s “Canada Investment Summit” is political theatre disguised as economic vision, especially as he courts Europe and Asia while his own Brookfield portfolio is overwhelmingly invested in the U.S. There is an absurdity of claiming Canada can pivot away from America when “you don’t reroute a supply chain that took forty years to build because a prime minister gave a speech.” The rant also exposes contradictions—Carney’s government exploring defense ties with China, Trudeau’s broken relationships with India and China, and Canada’s failure to use its 51 trade agreements. If “Canada loses the U.S. and it’s not a recession—it’s a structural collapse.”
