25 Years Later We Forgot the Lesson of September 11
“If a nation can forget 9/11 in just twenty‑five years, what else is it willing to forget—its values, its allies, maybe even who the real enemies are?” Today we confront the moral amnesia surrounding the attacks, noting that “forty percent of the victims still haven’t been identified” and that families begged New York’s leading mayoral candidate not to attend the memorial because he “won’t fully condemn the ideology that flew those planes.” It is fascinating that Israel is “finishing the job we walked away from twenty‑five years ago,” Western leaders are busy weaponizing politics, erasing history, and pandering to extremists. We are sickened how “Gen Z forgetting 9/11 is worse than surviving it,” how antisemitic rhetoric now comes from elected officials, and how foreign governments exploit the moment to interfere in Israel’s election. We close with a plea for moral clarity: “We didn’t forget because time passed—we forgot because we let people who won’t say terrorism is evil run our institutions.”
